WhatsApp may soon let you edit and delete sent messages..
The news arrives via the WABetaInfo Twitter channel, a source of early WhatsApp news and speculation, which claims to have discovered the feature in the WhatsApp 188.8.131.529 beta build for iOS. This would be the first time WhatsApp has introduced such features since it launched in 2010.
A subsequent tweet reveals an “edit” option available in the same menu, which would allow users to amend the content of sent messages. WABetaInfo says would be disabled by default. Here is the tweet

Though this speculation refers to the iOS version of Whatsapp, it’s seriously possible that the feature would also come to being to the Android version – should it roll out at all.
Unfortunately, there is no word when the WhatsApp feature to revoke or edit sent messages will be available for Android beta users. The news was first reported by @WABetaInfo that tracks beta releases of the app and it also tweeted an image showing the upcoming feature. However, this WhatsApp feature to revoke sent messages will probably work only in the case if the recipient hasn’t seen the message from the sender. Currently, WhatsApp lets users delete messages on the device level and the deleted messages remain visible to the recipient.
